Q&A: My friend won’t quit whining…?
Question by Honest Guy: My friend won’t quit whining…?
My friend and his ex have recently broken up. They got divorced, and its over. You have to sign legal papers to get divorced. IT IS OVER. I don’t understand why he keeps whining, but anyway, i’m dating her now.
We’ve been going out for a few weeks, and i’ve been trying to keep it on the Downlow. Not hiding it from him, but i just don’t want her coming over when hes at my house. He knows, and i’m not like flauning it in front of him but he wont shut up. im tryin to be respectuf but wtf?
I was just wondering if there was some way to tell him its over btwn them. she thinks it is and he signed those divorce papers. at this point, just why wont he shut up about it? so they were married for 4 years, big deal

What happens with a contested petition for legal separation in Missouri?
Question by Run31: What happens with a contested petition for legal separation in Missouri?
My wife filed for a divorce 2 months ago. I am not okay with the divorce. I have also not been served yet. I want to file for a legal separation. What will happen if she does not want the legal separation? I realize she will get her divorce in time? I am not willing to sign the divorce papers as well. I cannot break the covenant that we made to each other and before God. What will happen if I do not sign the papers? Will I lose everything, if so, I’m fine with it. I can live knowing I did all I can do to save our marriage. God will have to do the rest.
No, we don’t have kids, we have only been married for a year and a half. My wife is catholic and I grew up going to a baptist church. I was not unfaithful to her with another person. I did make mistakes in our marriage. I also found out that I have OCD which played a big role in why she left me. No, this does not excuse my actions and the things I said to her, but I am doing everything I can to reconcile with her. I see a Christian counseler weekly, and I am seeing a pyschiatrist next week to get on some medication to help my racing thoughts.
Oh, she wants an annulment with the catholic church too.

I agree with you that unless you have irreconcilable differences you should do everything you can to try to save a marriage – especially if kids are involved? you didn’t mention. Also depends on the reason for her wanting a divorce – did you cheat on her? if so your feelings shouldn’t come into things.
Trust in God but get a good divorce lawyer as a back up!
Good Luck and I hope it all works out for you.

If one person wants the divorce, but the other doesn’t.?
Question by eloquence0122: If one person wants the divorce, but the other doesn’t.?
My spouse has given me divorce papers, but says that he wants to be fair. I still want to give it a chance. Is there any way that he can get the divorce granted without me signing the papers? Also, he is about to be deployed, can these legal proceedings still occur while he’s overseas?
Best answer:
Answer by Lisa
first for your deployment question yes the proceedings can still go forward because he initiated them, however, if you plan to counter anything initiate it before he deployes
second when a man files for divorce sweetie he is done :( let him go and find you if it is meant to be he will come back

Check with your local city/town hall. Hopefully it will be an easy process without any assets.

You then file a motion with the courts and drag their buts into court for a judge to b*tch slap them.
